From Image-to-Implant
Patients vary in more ways than gender, race, and size. At ConforMIS, we believe that optimizing implant fit and performance requires a patient-specific approach. Our image-to-implant process uses imaging data to create personalized devices designed to achieve precise fit, preserve bone and cartilage, and minimize surgical trauma.
The image-to-implant process begins when the patient receives a diagnostic CT or MR scan. After the scan, the center sends the data to ConforMIS via CD or secure internet file transfer. As a healthcare organization, we maintain policies and procedures consistent with HIPAA guidelines (view our HIPAA Compliance Statement).
Through our iFit technology, we generate a 3D model of the patient's knee and then map the anatomy of the patient's joint. Our technology creates an implant that is precisely matched to the patient's surface contours and anatomy.
