Associate Sales Representative, Chicago

Job Summary:

The Associate Sales Representative will be responsible for providing surgical case coverage.  This position may also market and sell ConforMIS products within a specific territory.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, internal working relationships across ConforMIS.
  • Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Sales department and works towards those goals.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
  • Surgical case coverage (in an assigned area or outside an assigned area as requested by RSM/DVP).
  • Sale of ConforMIS products to targeted Surgeons or Hospitals.
  • Supply Hospital or Surgeon with How to Order ConforMIS product information.
  • Implant or Instrument set up at a Hospital or ASC prior to a surgical case.
  • Daily Review of Surgical Schedule with TSM/RSM.
  • Update, Confirm, Communicate surgical case changes to ConforMIS Customer Service.
  • Provide Hospital or Surgeon educational in-services to staff as requested i.e. sawbones.
  • Meet with Hospital Material Management departments to process or obtain Purchase Order information.
  • Participate in Local, Regional or National Lab recruitment, the lab instruction process, cleanup and shipping of lab materials as requested by the company.
  • Hospital or ASC case set up / post case work to remove instruments or PO paperwork submission process or attainment, hospital/ office staff educational in-services, Local, Regional or National Lab support or recruitment and or participation in the set up or the lab itself.
  • Attend Company training classes as required/requested.
  • Adhere to all commercial policy and practices as defined by ADVAMED or ConforMIS SOP or Work Instruction.
  • Obtain/Maintain Vendor Clearance which permits an individual to work at a Hospital.
  • Pre case planning, staff education about either the product or ConforMIS ordering practices.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


  • College Education preferred.
  • PA/NP or RN or Surgical Technician degree is a plus.
  • Good driving record.
  • Previous OR Hospital or Surgery Center surgical experience (case or case set up support) in adult orthopedic reconstruction is a plus.

  • Able to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 8-95%, both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • 10-20% of travel may/will require overnight stays.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with various functional levels.
  • Working knowledge of joint reconstruction preferred.
  • Knowledge of knee anatomy preferred.
  • Experience in operating room environments preferred.
