Sr. Manager, National Accounts – East

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing regional contracts for the US within a designated area of the country.  Will oversee operations related to hospital contract identification, proposal generation, negotiation, administration, and ongoing business development activities.  As a field based member of the team, this position will be responsible for identifying, researching, and creating strategic pricing strategies for current and future ConforMIS customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish new contracts and manage existing contract agreements with targeted Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), Independent Hospital Networks (IHN) and key accounts
  • Collaborate with members of the sales management team to identify and prioritize strategic accounts, and create specific plans for each target
  • Calculate and communicate the related impact of all proposed pricing on regional ASP to help inform customer targeting
  • Prepare presentation materials for communications with C Suite and deliver presentations in connection with the field sales team
  • Manage contracts for GPOs, IDNs and other National and Strategic Accounts; Manage all bid submissions, RFPs and pricing requests
  • Achieve sales objectives within targeted systems
  • Manage all local and regional bid submissions, RFPs and pricing requests.
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities with select accounts and outlines solutions in meetings with sales, marketing, clinical and finance departments (when appropriate); Works with Legal to review contracts and other matters if necessary
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing or related field required
  • 2-4 years of medical device sales and/or sales management experience
  • 1-5 years’ national accounts management experience
  • Knowledge of surgical orthopedic medical devices
  • Experience uncovering, analyzing, and developing financial opportunities with mathematical models
  • Comfortable driving multiple initiatives at a rapid pace, making thoughtful recommendations with available data.
  • Experience presenting clinical and economic data to C-Suite level executives and senior management
  • Strong financial analysis skills including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Access, and other relevant data evaluation tools

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60% of the time
