About the Doctor
Dr. Daniel Aschenbrener is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has been practicing since 2004. A Wisconsin native originally from Oconomowoc, Dr. Aschenbrener originally graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1987. Six years later he returned to college to fulfill his desire to be a surgeon and graduated from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. He completed his residency at Michigan State University, Botsford Hospital. He then went on to complete a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at Henry Ford Medical Center in Detroit. He also served as a team physician for the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers and Lions before moving to Arizona.
Dr. Aschenbrener performs arthroscopic procedures, joint replacement surgery, and orthopedic trauma surgery. Additionally he specializes in sports medicine with a focus on the shoulder and knee, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, labral pathology, articular cartilage injuries, meniscal pathology and ACL tears. He also performs knee and shoulder replacement surgery and is one of only a few surgeons who performs reverse total shoulder surgery.
