About the Doctor
A native of Winston-Salem, Dr. Homesley received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency and Fellowship training in Adult Reconstructive Surgery of the Hip and Knee at the Rothman Institute, one of the premier joint replacement institutions in the nation.
Dr. Homesley is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and specializes in total joint replacements and adult hip and knee reconstruction. He has been published in The Journal of Arthroplasty, The American Journal of Orthopedics, and the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Homesley serves on the Infection Control and Credentialing Committees at Mercy Main Hospital. He is the past Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at Presbyterian Hospital and past Medical Chair of Presbyterian Orthopedic Hospital. He is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Association for Hip and Knee Surgeons.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Homesley is an avid runner and has completed two marathons. He also enjoys golf, soccer, tennis, and both snow and waterskiing. He and his wife, Natalie, have two sons.
