Dr. Doner is a Colorado native and was born and raised in Littleton. He then went on to receive both his B.A. and M.D. Degrees from the University of Colorado, and completed his residency training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Dr. Doner completed an additional year of sports medicine fellowship training in Cincinnati where he specialized in complex knee and shoulder arthroscopic, open, and total joint reconstruction. During his fellowship he served as Assistant Team Doctor for the Cincinnati Bengals football team.
Additionally after fellowship he spent time in Nashville with Dr. Thomas Byrd and in Indianapolis with Dr. Peter Maiers to learn how to perform hip arthroscopy.
He is a member of the Colorado State Medical Association. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time in the outdoors mountaineering. In his free time he enjoys going on medical mission trips, skiing, mountain biking, playing sports, and any activity that gets him outside in beautiful Colorado. His practice includes sports medicine, joint replacements, general orthopaedics, and trauma.
