Dr. Jacob Furey is a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement surgeon in Brunswick, Maine. He earned his A.B. degree in History from Princeton University magna cum laude and received the highest award for his senior thesis in American History. He completed his medical education at the Tufts University School of Medicine, earning numerous distinctions, and completed his orthopedic residency training at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, where he was given the residency’s top award. He then spent a year of specialty training in complex hip and knee replacement surgery at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital joint reconstruction fellowship. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
