Jon E. Orjala, D.O., has been practicing orthopedic surgery in Oklahoma since 1996 and is the team doctor for the Tulsa Roughnecks professional soccer team.

He has performed over 12,000 arthroscopic procedures including more than 6,000 on knees, 4,500 on shoulders and many others on elbows, ankles, wrists and hips. His knee procedures include customized knee replacements, which are designed to match the unique size and shape of each patient’s knee.

Dr. Orjala earned his bachelor of arts degree in chemistry and biology from Point Loma College in San Diego. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City in 1991. He completed his general medical internship at Deaconess Medical Center in St. Louis in 1992 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City in 1996. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Orjala’s personal interests include snow skiing, snowboarding and flying. He speaks fluent German and Haitian Creole plus some French and Spanish.
