When did you have your surgery?

I had my surgery in November of 2016

As a physical therapist, what did you find most interesting about Conformis technology?

So I have worked with a lot of total knee replacements. One of the things that is different about this one compared to an off-the-shelf knee is that this one is not symmetrical. The two sides are different. The way it’s shaped to the bone is based on my CAT scan, so when it comes surgery ready, it fits. I believe that’s why there’s less blood loss and why rehab is so much quicker.

What has your life been like since surgery?

It’s been amazing. Life changing. I can jump out of bed, run down the stairs, and not worry about it. And when I don’t think about my knee anymore, that’s when I know it’s really awesome, because it’s part of me.
